Summer Art Kit Initiative
We believe that every child has their own special creative spark, and we strive to fan it into a flame! Beginning in 2020, Dahlonega Arts Alliance collects, packs, and donates curated bundles of art supplies to the Lumpkin County Library to support their Summer Reading Program.
Thanks to growing donor support, we have been able to expand our Summer Art Kit Initiative to donate more art kits each year as well as expand the number of causes to which we can donate art kits.

In 2024, we’re so proud to have donated over 200 art kits this year! We were also able to expand our kit offerings to include origami paper and the DAA Coloring Book - featuring original art from 9 different DAA artists. In addition to donating our kits to the Lumpkin County Library, we also were able to donate to Connectability as part of their Sensory Storytime program and Community Helping Place’s Well Fed and Well Read program.
